We’ve recently made improvements to the millroom at our Newberry, Michigan production facility. The millroom building was expanded to accommodate the changes, the Newman 382 planer was repositioned, a new tilt-hoist was installed and more carts were added to the chain.
The changes will make lumber surfacing operations flow much smoother, facilitate higher production volumes, and allow for more product sorts. We also expanded our warehouse capacity for kiln-dried lumber.
Mike Middleton, Vern Neff and Scott Meyer from our White Pigeon facility played key rolls in completing the project – spending long hours working to make this much-needed renovation happen. Thank you to all of those employees who put in an excellent effort to improve our Newberry facility!
