Rustic White Oak
Our 4/4 Rustic Northern White Oak is produced at our White Pigeon, Michigan facility. Pulled for its character across each board face, this product will yield no less than a #1Com grade with sound cuttings (unlike clear-face cuttings in the standard NHLA grading rules). The sound character will include sound knots (1/2” in average diameter or less), and excessive pin knots and/or worm holes. The color will include a full range of color inherent in White Oak, including some sapwood and mineral streaks. We air-dry our White Oak under cover to preserve the color and freshness of the product, and pay careful attention to the quality throughout the drying process. Offered in a variety of width-sorts, our Northern Rustic White Oak is an excellent raw material for millwork and cabinetry with exceptional presentation of character, and is used in the manufacture of world-class wide plank flooring.
